Appendix B: Field Dressing and Processor Acceptance Specifications (Checkpoints 2 & 3)
This appendix defines the required specifications that the final delivered carcass must meet to satisfy the contract for the Full Recovery and Transport Stipend. This stipend is payment for the delivery of a carcass that is clean, properly field-dressed, and formally accepted by the Certified Processor.
I. Required Result: The Field-Dressed Carcass Quality (Checkpoint 2)
The Member is responsible for employing all necessary methods, tools, and sanitation to achieve the following final result. DeerStrike Inc. specifies the resulting quality, not the tools or methods used to achieve it.
A. Sanitation and Contamination Specifications

Sanitary Condition
Carcass must be free of visible road grime, oil, glass, dirt, or mud. The internal cavity must show no evidence of contact with the ground or unsanitized surfaces.
REJECTED if contamination risk is high. Member must use their own methods (e.g., clean tools, tarps, vehicle beds) to achieve this clean result.
Viscera Removal
The abdominal and chest cavities must be completely empty of all viscera (stomach, intestines, liver, heart, lungs, esophagus, trachea). This is required to initiate the cooling process.
REJECTED if remnants of organs or viscera are found, as the cooling and cleanliness specifications are unmet.
CRITICAL RUPTURE
The GI tract must be removed without rupture or spillage.
IMMEDIATE REJECTION if fecal or partially digested matter is present in the muscle cavity.
Fluid Drainage
The body cavity must be drained and free of pooled blood or excessive fluids.
REJECTED if fluids are retained, as this promotes bacterial growth and heat retention.
B. Inspection and Documentation Specifications

Purpose
Trauma Inspection
Carcass must be free of widespread, systemic bruising or hematomas that would render the majority of the muscle bloodshot and non-recoverable.
Final Internal Quality Check: Confirms the carcass is economically viable.
Required Photo
Electronic submission of a high-resolution photograph clearly showing the fully gutted, clean body cavity.
Auditable proof that the field-dressing specification was successfully met prior to transport.
Offal Disposal
The Member must demonstrate that all removed offal was handled and disposed of in full compliance with all local and state laws. DeerStrike Inc. assumes no liability for the Member’s chosen disposal method.
Member Assumes Full Legal Responsibility for offal disposal as part of the service provided.
II. Required Result: Processor Acceptance and Transfer (Checkpoint 3)
The delivery must align with the Certified Processor’s existing intake procedures. The Full Recovery Stipend is paid only upon documented acceptance by this third-party facility.

Stipend Impact
1. Time Audit
Digital record confirms arrival time is within the 4-hour cumulative TSD limit (established in Appendix A).
FAIL -> Stipend Voided. The delivery failed to meet the crucial safety specification.
2. Physical State
Carcass is Pre-Rigor, free of foul odor, visible decomposition/bloating, and widespread bloodshot meat.
FAIL -> Stipend Voided.
3. Transport Condition
Carcass is dry and free from contamination caused by the transport process.
FAIL -> Stipend Voided.
4. Required Documentation
Member must secure and submit proof of transfer to DeerStrike Inc. (e.g., photo of processor’s affixed ID tag or drop-off receipt).
Success -> Stipend Issued. This proof triggers final payment processing.
III. Stipend Payment Conditions

Payment for the successful delivery and acceptance of the specified food-safe product (The Result).
Payment for the Member’s professional time and effort to deliver the Assessment Report (The separate Report Result), even if the final recovery result failed due to TSD or GI Rupture discovered during field dressing.
